“Exploration” oil on board

This oil painting by Jonathon Swartwout is a little gem. The canoe carry takes the figures through an old growth Adirondack forest when one of the figures spots a giant burl growth in a tree. The painting has a feeling of the arts and crafts style with the paint technique feeling like stained glass. The frame is yellow birch with decorative birch twig nubbles. This painting is a joy to behold!
